When was the last time you took a moment to really stop and ask yourself how you feel when you reach for your food? In our busy lives, we tend to lose touch with our bodies. Our lives become a series of habits playing out day after day. We live on auto pilot, failing to listen to important information our bodies are relaying to us. Picking up food and feeding ourselves without paying attention means we are operating in a detached way that can be detrimental or make us feel really lousy afterwards. The next time you reach for food, try taking a moment and asking yourself if you are really even hungry or how you want feel after eating. This takes practice, as so many things do, but can be a game changer in reaching your health goals. It all starts with awareness!
